Kristy McFetridge- McConnell

Kristy is the Founder and Director of Mountain Sky Nature-Based Education and Healing.  She has taught wilderness survival skills, nature awareness, energy work, healing, and the philosophy of living in balance with the earth to thousands of people.  Born in Wyoming and raised in Montana, Kristy spent her youth in the wilderness of the Rocky Mountains where she developed her deep love and respect for the natural world.

Devoted to learning through experience, Kristy dedicated over a year of her life to practicing primitive survival skills and clarifying her personal vision.  During this year long quest she lived in an earthen shelter and adopted the simple lifestyle of indigenous cultures.  She worked for over five years as an instructor at Tom Brown’s Tracker School and co-founded PAST Skills Wilderness School.  As Kristy continues on in her journey with Mountain Sky, she works constantly to refine her skills and seek new and exciting ways to share her knowledge and experience to help others feel at home in the wilderness.

In addition to her vast experience as a wilderness instructor, Kristy is also committed to working as a healer, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Abused Land Reclamation, and a Master’s in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis on psychoneuroimmunology.

Kristy believes that there is a direct connection between the health of the Earth, and the health of individuals.  She views the skills she teaches not only as a doorway to connecting people to nature, but also as a method to connect people to their highest potential.  As a healer Kristy is devoted to working with individuals and groups to create harmony and healing through attaining higher levels of consciousness, expanded awareness, and the alignment of mind, body, and spirit.  She uses a blend of ancient and modern techniques to guide each person in finding their own unique truth and way of living a more sustainable and harmonious existence.
